The Knowing

In 1992, Adam Bradshaw, a white San Franciscan in his late-30s, travels to a Washington, D.C. hospital after learning that Peter Antin, his black ex-lover, is dying of AIDS. Upon his arrival, he meets Cherie Jones, a masculine presenting Naval Officer, who is Peter's best friend and current caretaker. During Adam's visit, the three reminisce on fond memories and painful traumas from their past, leading to a shocking revelation that changes Adam and Peter's relationship forever.
