An award-winning Director, Writer and Producer are just a few of the titles that best describe Jonathan Rowan. Jonathan is the true definition of talent, drive, passion, creativity and vision. Combined with intellect, charisma, perseverance, creativity and a work ethic rivaled by few, Jonathan Rowan is destined to be one of Hollywood's next Leading Filmmakers. One of the first things that attracted Jonathan to the art of filmmaking was his love for the arts. Jonathan uses his art as a tool of change through inclusion as he explores narratives from the perspective of underrepresented groups. He is the voice of his generation as he pushes to give the voiceless a major spotlight and platform. Representation is important and he exemplify that importance as a storyteller. Jonathan comes equipped with a BFA in Pre-law from Northern Kentucky University and a MFA in Film Production from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film & Television. His feature, Slasher, as well as his shorts, Chocolate Milk, Invisible, Runnin', Heart Beats, Beauty Mark, Man Down and Shank's Rain have been featured at Revolt TV, blackfilm.com, Social Justice Now Film Festival, DTLA Film Festival, Atlanta Black Pride Film Festival, EBNY.TV, Reveel Movies and many more.
