Original Sin (2001)

Set in Cuba in the early 20th century, the film revolves around Luis Vargas, a cuban coffee merchant who decides to marry Julia Russell, an american whom he only knows through letters. They live a passionate relationship, although there is something enigmatic about Julia, and when a private investigator approaches Luis on behalf of her sister, the consequences will be devastating for them both. Halfway between melodrama and erotic thriller, the chemistry between Antonio Banderas and Angelina Jolie is central to the film.
