Procesat (1968)

Bistra and Evgeni are first-year students. They love each other and have a happy carefree time. Bistra's capriciousness conceals an honest and noble character acute mental distress and a rich inner world. She gradually falls for Evgeni's father in whom she sees an impersonation of her ideals. Their relations provoke in Evgeni a state of acute mental distress in which he hits a pedestrian with his car. Legal proceeding are taken against him. Only Bistra can help him if she appears in court and explains the reasons for the state of mind which has caused the accident. She knows that in fact she would come before the court of honor. After a grate inner struggle, though she knows that society will put the blame upon her, she decides to tell the truth in the hope that the extenuating circumstances would lead to a lighter sentence.
