Roya Hashemi

Roya Hashemi is an aspiring young actress who has made a name for herself in the Dubai theatre scene. Born in Dubai in 2007, Roya discovered her love of acting at a very young age. By the time she was eight years old, she was already taking drama classes and participating in local theatre productions. At age 11, Roya began improvising at a local theatre in Dubai, and it quickly became clear that she had a natural talent for this style of performance. She continued to hone her skills and quickly gained a reputation as a rising star in the Dubai theatre community. Today, Roya is one of the prominent performers at Dubai's Courtyard Playhouse. She has played a variety of roles in productions ranging from classic plays to contemporary dramas. Some of her most notable performances include her portrayal of Maria in her school's production of West Side Story and her role in the two-woman play Girl in School Uniform. In addition to her work on stage, Roya has also appeared in several commercials and on television. In 2023, she landed the role of Julia in the popular Egyptian Ramadan series Seventh Year Itch, directed by Karim Al-Shennawy, which aired on MBC and Shahid.
