K.A. Cortland Haaf

Born Kevin Cortland Haaf in South Carolina, he adopted the name Alora and disavowed "Kevin" while exploring gender identity in his early 20's. Arriving at a non-binary gender identity, he embraced "Cortland" and kept the two initials to honor the path of his life's journey, including an exploration of Self, gender, and expressions of love and friendship. Growing up in a military family, Cortland Haaf has lived in Florida, Alaska, Honshu, and Okinawa. He landed in Albuquerque in '98 and, aside from about a dozen nomadic phases, has lived there since. A love of learning led to degrees in liberal arts, Asian studies, and Japanese. Passionate about information and skill acquisition, Cortland continues his formal education, which informs his growth as an actor as he studies a variety of topics in an effort to understand the universe, society, and the human condition.
