Mickey Rowe (born in 1988 in Seattle, Washington) is an award winning actor and was the first autistic actor to play Christopher Boone in the Tony Award winning play ''The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time''. This also made him the first actor on the autism spectrum to play any autistic character. Rowe has been featured as a preeminent actor and arts leader in the New York Times, PBS, Teen Vogue, Playbill, NPR, CNN, Huffington Post, Salon, American Theatre magazine, and more. As a public speaker Rowe has keynoted at organizations including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Yale School of Drama. Known for appearing as the title character in Peter Shaffer's Tony Award winning play Amadeus. Mickey Rowe is the founder and current co executive director of the National Disability Theatre which has produced theater with La Jolla Playhouse, The Goodman Theatre, and more.
