Jackie is a Maryland state certified educator in both French and Theatre, 7-12. She holds a BA in Drama from The Catholic University of America (summa cum laude, class of 2002) with a minor in French, a French-English translation certificate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champlain, and is nearing completion of her Master of Arts in Education. She began teaching French and Theatre at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts in Hagerstown, MD (2010). Jackie has worked extensively in the professional and educational theatre in the DC and Baltimore areas as well as in Hagerstown, Maryland, and Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. She was the resident costume designer and costume shop manager at Totem Pole Playhouse, an Equity summer stock theatre, for three seasons. She freelanced with the now-disbanded Le Néon Theatre in Arlington, VA, The Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. (as costume assistant), and Everyman Theatre in Baltimore (as costume technician). She was the costume shop manager at Catholic University for two years, where she taught Introduction to Technical Theatre and designed numerous graduate student-directed productions, including The Barbie Project, Faces of Joan, and The Bourgeois Avant-Garde, the latter winning a Drama Department award for Best Costume Design in 2004. She recently joined the Potomac Playmakers family (Hagerstown, MD) as a cast member of Forbidden Broadway! in 2011. Jackie has also been a French teacher at the well-known Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy (MMLA) a 4-week language immersion academy (2009-2011).
