Xavier Guignard

Born in Versailles, France in 1977, Xavier Guignard, an autodidact, very early began a love affair with storytelling. In 1997 he moved to London and started studying photography, film directing, cinematography, and producing. He was involved in the creation and running of a production company for 6 years, creating music videos for bands such as Primal Scream, Digital, 35mm and S16mm productions, and Viral commercial productions. In 2007 Xavier Guignard made a pause from the industry to focus on his writing. In 2016 he wrote, produced, directed and edited his first two short films. The first one is The Conductor: a drama story about a French woman who comes to London working as an assistant of one's of the world's most renowned conductor. And the second one is Little Thief: a Syfy dark thriller, which is a satire, a role reversal on some aspects of our society cultures, in a strictly regimented world where women represent 80% of the population, a couple struggle keeping faith in love. In 2017 pre-production of his first feature will start thru his own production company, Essay Pictures.
