Jerry Cotton

Yes, Jerry Cotton is aiding the FBI in some fashion. Somehow a child is kidnapped and recovered, after Jerry tries to rescue a man who was bound by unknown "tough guys" and died by the force of dynamite that was left to boobytrap Jerry. How all of these sub- plots all tie together is unclear.

The first Jerry Cotton movie is a good one. Jerry's after crooks who pose as a musical band. He infiltrates the gang, cozying up to their gun moll boss and trying to find out what she knows. What's in their violin cases? Great opening titles. Cool movie. B&W, scope, 35mm.

A big shipment of Nitroglycerine, enough to make a shambles of New York, mysteriously vanishes! It's a race between agent Jerry Cotton and the underworld to see who can find the deadly explosive first. To complicate things further, the nitro must be found before a torrid heat wave causes it to blow much of the city sky high. 35mm.

A rich capitalist is blackmailed and threatened with the murder of his daughter. There's a terrific scene where gangsters bust in and kidnap a young woman. One of three excellent Jerry Cotton films we now offer. Color, 35mm.

An organization sends hired contract killers to every state in the United States. After the murder of Ann Gordon and her young daughter Jane, Jerry Cotton flies to San Francisco, where most of these contract killings have so far been committed. Together with private detective Sam Parker, he investigates Ann Gordon's husband Francis and Peter Carp, whose accountant was murdered by the organization. At the last moment, Cotton is able to prevent Carp's wife from being murdered. A detailed questioning of the contract killer fails because another member of the organization shoots the killer. His remarks to Linda Carp lead to the trail of the neurologist Dr. Saunders. Jerry Cotton now plays the decoy and lets Dr. Saunders order his assassination. But he wants to get Ria Payne, Parker's assistant, out of the way beforehand. When the murder of her fails, they can turn the hit man around and get on the boss's trail.

(1968) George Nader. Heinz Weiss, Sylvia Solar, Carl Mohner. Agent Jerry Cotton infiltrates a big crime syndicate that is planning a major diamond heist. Jerry is able to make off with the loot himself - 12 million bucks! Watch for a cool chase scene at the film's climax. Color, 35mm.

(1969) George Nader, Heinz Weiss, Heidy Bohlen. An FBI agent is killed by the mob after making off with five million in gold bars in a robbery gone bad. Agent Jerry Cotton is called in to bring the gang to justice and find out where his dead pal hid the missing gold. Color, 35mm.
