Hunted Australia (2022)

The Australian version of the reality game in which several teams of 2 people each have to give up their electronic devices and be released at a common point, where they become Fugitives with only an overnight bag and access to $500, in the form of a debit card with $300 and $200 in cash. Each pair of Fugitives has to evade capture while travelling across the state of Victoria. As they run, they are pursued by four groups of Hunters who are under the control of an elite team of investigators who have access to the Fugitives' bank accounts and mobile phone records and replicated "powers of the State" including automatic number plate recognition and closed-circuit television in their attempts to track down and capture the Fugitives. 24 hours before the end of the hunt, the Fugitives have to call a phone number to receive clues to the location of an extraction point. The Hunters are not told where the extraction point is, but the location of the remaining Fugitives is revealed to them after they call the number. The Fugitives who reach the extraction point in time without being captured by the Hunters will win a share of the prize money on offer.
