The ongoing construction of the new Aswan Dam in Egypt will flood important archaeological sites in the Nubian Desert and make 90,000 people homeless. Past and present are being drowned to secure food and energy for millions of people in the future. This Nordic documentary series follows a crusade of archaeologists in a race with the water to save the past of a desert people.
