Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some.. - have absolutely no idea. Cousin-best-friends Brooke and Amy Bland have always loved the Olympics but have never been able to find the time to compete. After years of unfortunate events getting in the way of their Olympic glory - 2008 was that grade 7 choir camp to Ballina and 2016 they just couldn't get the time off work - this year nothing is in their way. 2020 is their year to shine. Amy will compete. Brooke will coach. And together they will make Australia proud. All they have to do now is figure out which iconic sport will with bring them the gold medal. Join the documentary crew as we follow these Olympic hopefuls as they trial swimming, diving, gymnastics, heptathlon and weightlifting in the ultimate journey to Tokyo. With the help of some killer matching tracksuits (made by their fathers), early 9am starts, bizarre food plans, great sacrifice (not going to their cousin's hens) and a few too many inspirational quotes, Amy and Brooke embark on the Olympic journey of a lifetime. Most only imagine themselves heading for Olympic glory, but Brooke and Amy - hopelessly unaware that it takes a little longer than a week to train for the Olympics, and maybe a little athletic skill - are actually doing it. Kind of. The Power of the Dream taps into the fighting spirit that the Olympic Games ignites in all of us. It reminds us of those enormous sporting moments that made us feel proud to be Australian. From Nikki Webster to Leisel Jones - this show is all about the 1996 Atlanta Games anthem - "The Power of the Dream" - no matter how uncoordinated you might be.
