In 1975 and 1976, French filmmaker and writer Jean Marie Drot produced and directed a series of 13 one-hour films on former French Minister of Culture André Malraux (a few months before his death) discussing modern art, naive painting, Japanese art, Renaissance artists, etc. The series was shot on location in famous museums, castles and art galleries around the world (Loire Valley, India, Japan, Haiti, etc.) and captures Malraux's cultural heritage evolving into the "Imaginary Museum" ("Le Musée Imaginaire"), an enchanting metaphor and a body of works of art which help men to live their lives fully and with a truly valuable meaning.
