Now and Then (1983)

A family man in his 40s is contemplating selling the house that he has lived in since childhood, which incorporated the years of the Second World War. Each episode jumps back from the present to memories of his boyhood. Despite the war, they are happy memories of his parents and his siblings, and how they coped during those difficult times. It's these memories that are making quite a wrench for him to sell the house that he has known and loved for as long as he can remember.
