Isaura: Slave Girl (1976)

Daughter of a slave and a white man, Isaura lived on a farm in Campos do Goitacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, being treated as a daughter by Ester, her owner, but as a slave by Commandeur Almeida, Ester's husband. Isaura's first love died in a arson, started by Leôncio, Commandeur Almeida's son, who was completely obsessed with her. After many misfortunes, Isaura meets Álvaro, an abolitionist.
