Having retired from the force, police veterans Leonid Kovalsky, Oleg Semionov and Stas Romanishin find themselves back on civvy street. While Leonid and Stas are invited to teach at the Law Academy, Oleg becomes an executive secretary for the Police Veteran Fund. Leonid and Stas take up their new positions, adjusting well to civilian life. Leonid's forensic workshops are extremely popular with the final year students at the Academy who enjoy the vivid accounts of his previous investigations. Stas cultivates a fighting spirit in his lawyers, not only instructing them in the principles of martial arts but also teaching them the morals and beliefs behind the philosophy. Meanwhile, Oleg is the polar opposite of his friends. Quietly satisfied in his retirement, he takes no initiative and is content with his easy job at the Fund, which allows him to pursue his hobbies of fishing and football. However, when his friends are faced with danger, Oleg does not hesitate to come to their rescue. Despite being in their mid-50s, all three men are in great physical shape. With good jobs, they have earned the respect of the community, but underneath they are still the same idealists they were during their active service with the police force. Far from indifferent to the changes taking place around them, their boyish lust for adventure still gets the better of them when the criminal world touches the interests of their friends.
