Khvost (2012)

When an investigation reaches a dead end due to insufficient evidence, the police force decides to take a different approach. Believing the culprit is still close by, Anna Ivanovna Khvostova, known to her colleagues as 'Colombo in a Skirt', joins the team as an undercover agent. Posing as a new neighbour in various locations reputed to be used by known criminals, Anna gradually and successfully penetrates their lives through their families, friends, business partners and enemies. Her activities are aimed at uncovering the truth, but as Anna is not a staff officer, her methods are less than conventional. The end, however, justifies the means, and for Anna there is nothing more important than justice.
