2010 The Kuban village of Loschinskaya, an oasis of prosperity among the devastation of the crisis: the fields are densely sown, the farms are well-groomed, the population is employed and well-fed. What is this - collective farm capitalism or the once promised communism? Neither one nor the other. This is the brilliant family business of the dashing Cossack woman Nadezhda Volkova, the godmother of these places. And, like any successful business raised from scratch in the 90s, it is implicated in blood... One fine day, Marina Gorobets arrives in the village of Loschinskaya, in the recent past a married woman, director of a dairy farm in a neighboring area, and now an unemployed and divorced beauty in the prime of her life. She comes to visit her daughter Svetlana, who is studying at a local vocational school; It's then that it turns out that the girl is not in the village. The school director, local police officers, and Sveta's classmates do not answer direct questions, behave aggressively, in a word, they are clearly hiding something. Having failed to obtain help from official structures, Marina decides to look for her daughter on her own. She still does not know that in fact the village is run by an unofficial structure - the Volkov clan of businessmen.
