Till hösten (1986)

Veronica is 16. It is late spring and every day after school she cycles out to the country, where an old lady lives alone in a nice little house in the woods. Veronika helps her with chopping wood and other chores, and the rest of the time she spends painting pictures or hiking in nature. Veronika enjoys the quiet life and is anxious about the idea of having to take a job in the fall, perhaps in a factory. With her final grade, she has no chance of entering high school. To prepare for the fall, she pays a visit to a mechanical workshop where one of her acquaintances works. When Veronika comes to the country again on graduation day, the old lady is not there.
