Papa (2023)

In a parallel world where men are the ones who get pregnant, we meet Robbie, a young man, shortly after he finds out he's pregnant after a one-time fling with a girl he met in a dim red bar. He decides to give birth to the baby and looks for the woman who got him pregnant, hoping that she will join the adventure and be the child's mother. But to his surprise, instead of his wish coming true, he meets Charlie who confronts him with a different reality. Charlie has a partner and the last thing she needs is an unplanned child to ruin her life. The film examines the difficulty in the big decision "Should we bring a child into the world"? By playing a game of changing roles, we force our main characters to face all the familiar clichés of gender equality, the freedom to choose and be independent of your destiny, in such a defined and dogmatic society.
