Paying Respects (2022)

Tarquin and Aaron attend a funeral. Two very different housemates attending a funeral with different views on grief, respect and smoothie bottles. At first we see a somber scene. A grieving mother sits in the front row listening to the Priest's moving remarks on the ceremony. Aaron is sat on his own. Tarquin enters late and in fancy dress. We listen to the hushed remarks from both characters about the dress code, churches, etiquette and a missing smoothie bottle. As the film progresses we learn about the loss of Alfie and witness the toll it's had on the grieving mother. The unveiling of some secrets and truths challenge our perspective of the two unlikely housemates.
