In search of work and livelihood, Paraguayan and Brazilian women known as pasera cross the Paraguay-Brazil border on an everyday basis. From Soledad, a Paraguayan dance teacher, ballerina, and pasera, we follow the daily lives of Susy, Maria, Cleide, and Felicia. Day after day, across the Paraná River, they carry survival and dreams. In this back and forth, Alejandri, a Maká Indigenous girl, establishes a connection between reality and the cultural imaginaries of the borderlands.
