María sets out on a journey of self-discovery. On the way, her fears come to life, and she falls into darkness. She must face her own demons to halt her fall and fly towards the light. Gravid is María's dream-journey, an odyssey into the depths of her own being. There is no turning back, as she gestates the inevitable. María must let herself fall into the amniotic abyss of her inner demons and confront the most primordial fear of all: becoming a mother. She must tear body and soul apart to face the sublime responsibility of creating life. The future she is carrying inside her becomes an unlimited power to transform her descent into the abyss into an ascent towards the light.
