The Story about a young African American woman beating the odds in becoming a nurse in a world that didn't want African American nurses and then went on to become the First African American Nurse in a racist city of Macon in the 1950's. She traveled from the South to North and from East to West all over the United States to become a Registered Nurse. She Joined the United States Military still determined to become a Registered Nurse. She believed she had a calling to become a Nurse no matter what obstacles were in front of her she believed that God had given her the intelligence, and the compassion to become an impactful Registered Nurse.
