A stranger "Rayne" arrives into the town of Narnia, California by train on a high noon Monday, mid August 1877. After being on the train for the past 3 weeks and a routine stop, Rayne decides to settle in this small town of 300+ people. It's been 7 days and Rayne has not left while staying at the Jack Saloon becoming prolific with the prostitutes. And the towns' people are feared by Rayne's mysterious presence. A local rancher "Sam" has noticed Rayne stirring up trouble in his small quiet town the past few days and decides to confront Rayne on his intentions of his stay/visit. It is now 11:50am the following Tuesday and Sam catches Rayne outside the saloon smoking then exchanges dialogue.
