Dreaming of a future, stuck in a codependent relationship. Lola, an ambitious high school senior must make a decision between attending her dream university or staying home looking after her mother, whose mental wellbeing is quickly deteriorating. With the big acceptance envelope in hand, Lola yearns to leave but in the end chooses to place her mother's wants and needs in front of her own; abandoning herself and thus continuing the endless cycle of their toxic unconditional love.
