Cuba Crucis (2022)

Between 2020-2021 journalist and filmmaker Yoe Suárez produced a web series about how the lack of individual liberties affects living faith in Cuba. It was transformed into a feature-length documentary film, Cuba Crucis (2022), with more than 20 voices from Cuban civil society reflecting about freedom of consciousness. Cuba Crucis was premiered in a clandestine presentation in Camaguey city, Cuba, on December 2021; and was internationally released in USA, on August 25, 2022. Mega TV, USA: [the arrive of the film to Miami] is a "great event". COPE, Spain: "[Cuba Crucis] was condemned for its controversial content in Cuba but now it is on everyone's lips". Cuban writer Rafael Almanza: "[the documentary] is a first order journalistic work".
