Mariano Monamour

Mariano Monamour is a 100-minute Crime/Christmas Comedy film that showcases the crazy life Of Mariano Monamour, the small-time gypsy criminal from Transylvania in his quest for the Ideal gypsy life in Europe. The film features Mariano's life from teenage years when he discovers his vocation as a thief up until his 40's when his life turns a different, unexpected direction. Coming from a decent gypsy family in Transylvania in the 60's ,Mariano doesn't take the moral and decent path he was expected in his family but the path of small-time thieving to which he was exposed to from a young age. This role appealed to him from the first score he did and ignited a passion that will only grow stronger over the years. The story starts with one of his funny heists in Barcelona and cuts to the main structure of the movie which is a Narration by Mariano, now in his 60's, reflecting with humor on his funny and adventurous criminal life in Romania ,Hungary, Austria and finally Barcelona. Story covers the many mishaps and successes he had in life but mainly his transformation along the way from 1975, all leading to the Mariano Monamour of the year 2022. His wives, his children and the especially funny and deluded adventure heists he did with his brother Vandame. All on a very bumpy road of life in the quest for the Utopian gypsy life that most of the gypsies in Eastern Europe dream of.
