Charles Ammon, a well-known detective in 1934 New York, is called in after an "untouchable" crime boss, James Gambino is murdered. Conducting multiple interrogations and gaining an assistant detective, Henry Ellis, on the case; they pursue clues to answer who the murderer is. However, uncovering new knowledge from the mob throws all of their advancements for a spin. One subject's truth is another's lie. While investigating, Ammon realizes deeper unresolved problems from the past in his own life. The murder comes to a temporary conclusion but is not as it seems. It is much deeper than they believe. To understand the reality, you must focus on the illusion. Who is the murderer, and why did they do it? A word from the wise; "A case is never as easy as it seems, trust no one."
