Lulita (2016)

Andrés is a reserved and depressive person who imagines of how will be the encounter with his beloved Lulita. As he heads to Lulita's house, he visualizes a wide-range of distinctive scenarios about his encounter with her. All of these fantastical events captures Andres desire for his girlfriend, his fear of her leaving him, his jealousy, his longing for having her close and above all else, his desire of being alone with her. Inspired by the story of "Lulita who doesn't want to open the door", this short film depicts the potential scenarios for this romantic Sunday encounter, as imagined by Andrés while he makes his way to Lulita's house. The film is also a window into life in the city of Cali in the 70s, where salsa, literature and cinema ruled.
