Veto (2022)

Toby is a twenty-something millennial, fresh out of university with no plans, no stability and feeling out-of-sorts. He's been spat out into the big bad world, and feels like he's drowning. In a desperate attempt to find stability and safety once more, he turns to his ex-girlfriend Florence for solace, who reluctantly agrees to meet him as a one-off at a local coffee shop. However, things won't be as straight forward as Toby hopes, as any plans to rekindle the past romance are extinguished by Jacob, Florence's boyfriend who she just so happens to have brought along. With the power to "veto" their conversations if things get a little too reminiscent and romantic, Jacob ensures Toby's advances are thwarted at every turn. But with the totally misguided and unsupported confidence of a delusional romantic, Toby perseveres, pushing Florence to her wits' end and forcing her to make an uncomfortable decision.
