Timbuktu och Damn! år tio (2013)

How do you keep the magic alive, when your childhood dream becomes a job? How do you handle an everyday life when wherever you go there's a party with an open bar? How did Timbuktu and Damn! meet and what happened during rehearsals before those first couple of gigs? How is it to go from performing in front of 30 000 people at Swedish music festivals to playing for a few hundred people in total darkness in Maputo, Mocambique with a busted sound system? In 2002, Swedish television show Musikbyrån called Jason "Timbuktu" Diakité to see if he might be interested in doing a production with them. They soon agreed that it would be fun to do something more than just having a rapper and DJ on stage. Jason immediately thought about music collective Damn! and got in touch with them. The rest, as they say, is history.
