Tourneys & Trebuchets (2021)

Kat Ricketts has been a medieval re-enactor for seven years, involved predominantly in demonstrations involving siege weapons such as trebuchets and catapults. She recounts her introduction to the world of Medieval re-enactment and her experiences achieving recognition in what is a traditionally male dominated world. As one of the few females involved specifically in the world of siege weaponry, Kat is uniquely positioned to discuss the reactions she receives both from other re-enactors and the general public in response to her specialty. Celebrating the colourful and dedicated re-enactors, Tourneys and Trebuchets celebrates community and the people that make it turn.
