Ensemble (2022)

ENSEMBLE is a collective audiovisual work directed by 42 film professionals from 32 countries, all alumni of Berlinale Talents 2021. After the festival took place online, they initiated a cinematographic dialogue across continents in a time of the global pandemic. Over the past 8 months, their collaboration evolved organically into a mosaic of places, stories and reflections on subjects resonating within each of them. From a ghostly presence in India, a dystopian peaceful world, an exploration of Mars, memories of childhood in Jerusalem, to restricted social life in New York. It is a global reflection formed of various sensibilities, styles, backgrounds, cultures and languages, intending to capture the state of creative minds in a world of paralyzed motion. To bridge the absence, we developed a cinematographic dream across Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong-Kong, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Myanmar, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, U.K, U.S.A."
