Por Ellas (2012)

Por Ellas is a video project that explores the relationship between an immigrant mother and the three daughters she left at the care of family members in her hometown in Mexico. For two years, Patricia Vazquez and Kai Tillman traveled between Mexico and the US filming and showing the separated family's life at each side of the border. This video is a testimony of a difficult separation as well as the privileges some of us have to travel across the US southern border.
