A below low budget quirky crime film riding the coat tails of a new studio motion picture set to debut at the same time with a similar name. The Man from Philadelphia is the story of an entertainment business manager named Markus, who is publicly fired and labeled a boy band con artist of a manager. Attempting to rebound as the quarterback of two new musical acts introduction to the world, Markus, played by Toronto based stand up Comedian Kevin Christopher, runs into some immediate problems, again. The unique aspect of this talkie is that Markus is the only one speaking, not narrating, but moving the plot along via dialogue on and off through the 1 hour of screen time. Markus even fits in a rendition of the 1843 American poem 'Tell Tale Heart', written by EDGAR ALLAN POE, composed while the poet lived in... Philadelphia.
