Joe has lived his life with the moral and ethical beliefs of having the "best intentions." With a successful career, his own home, and a bright future, he's now prepared to propose to his long -time girlfriend, Madison. He's even hand -picked the wedding ring himself, thanks to his dead aunt. First thing's first though. He has some loose ends to tie up with Madison's sister, Casey whom he "accidentally" started sleeping with. Once the relationship ends, he's home free. He will live happily ever after with Madison and his beloved cat, Jekyll. Or so he thinks. When a bedroom closet becomes a portal to hell, everything he holds dear in his life and memories he'd like to forget, will torment him. They Got Out is a dark comedic short exploration into Joe Hanson's past transgressions through his own unapologetic first- person brand of storytelling. And this is where our story begins (or where it ends, depending on which side of the fence you are on.
