Beneath the Houses

The year is 1990. Police cadet Michelle LeBlanc searches for her estranged father Georges who has gone missing in Yugoslavia - a country on the brink of civil war. In Yugoslavia, Michelle teams up with a private detective Irina Pavlov. Irina ties Georges' disappearance to the case of missing girls, suspected victims of human trafficking. Michelle's search further involves local siblings Nina and Dario Kovac, both of whom have a history with Georges. With stakes raised, the investigation takes Michelle down a personal path she never expected, a path of violence and sins of the past.
