Stanley Kubrick Considers the Bomb (2019)

A short film that takes us inside the mind of one of the greatest film directors of all time, made in 2019 to screen in cinemas just before the 4K restored classic Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964). Produced and directed by Matt Wells, with contributions from those who knew Kubrick best, including Katharina Kubrick, Jan Harlan (Kubrick's executive producer and brother-in-law) and journalist and author Eric Schlosser, the film considers how he responded to society's widespread concern about nuclear war and transformed it into his irreverent comic masterpiece Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
