Saving Faces (2013)

Documents the vision of Iain Hutchison, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Bart's and the London Hospitals. Iain Hutchison fulfilled an ambition, nurtured for many years, when he created The Saving Faces project by inviting Mark Gilbert to work as an artist in residence and paint his patients. The film depicts aspects of this extraordinary collaboration between painter and surgeon and reveals Iain's passion for research into facial diseases and injuries affecting the mouth and face.
