Deep In Her Heart (2019)

Themes of vocation to public service, sacrifice, inter-generational legacies, family dynamics, loss, resentment, acceptance, canine fidelity, & eternal parental love, are explored in this heartwarming short film, set in a family with a legacy of firefighting. A loving grandmother uses the story of the loyalty of a family pet & fire-station mascot to bring perspective & acceptance to an adolescent granddaughter when relationships & understanding of adult choices are first strained, then strengthened, after being faced with sudden tragedy & the life-altering sacrifices a vocation of service requires of not only the individual, but of all of all the family members left affected by such dedication.
