ARMISTICE is based on many true events, long-buried government documents and military affidavits. On the evening of Saturday February 20, 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower disappears without explanation from a Palm Springs golf retreat. A renegade female Associated Press reporter sends out a bulletin that "Pres. Eisenhower died tonight of a heart attack in Palm Springs" - then retracts it when Eisenhower reappears in public the next morning. Did this actually happen? YES IT DID. But why?
