The Hard Pass (2019)

The Hard Pass is the local name for the border that divides two nations, the dystopian Anahuac to the south from the prosperous Turtlisle to the north. Anahuac is overthrown by a nationalistic zealot who is co-conspiring with an equally maniacal politician in Turtlisle. They devise a policy to close the border and create robotic beasts or mechanical deterrents (MDs), programmed to kill ALL southern refugees who try to cross the border into the north. There is only one caveat, anyone who survives the border gets automatic citizenship in Turtlisle. One woman, Tanji, works with the resistance to help the people of Anahuac escape tyranny. She is the only one who can guide them through the dangerous border and into the north without casualty. She becomes a threat to the MD policy. With a target on her back and MDs on her trail, she battles the evil nature of mankind and their robotic creations, in The Hard Pass.
