In Bogotá, a city where the majority of inhabitants are unaware of the work done by the Fire Department, a group of young men and women begin Class 29 in hopes of becoming professional firefighters. Each has a different idea about the job, and most are motivated primarily by the possibility of steady work. Throughout the course they discover the true meaning of the profession and realize it is their personal fears and difficulties that will prove to be their toughest enemies.
