The Chase (2015)

The meaning of Chase in literal terms is pursuance in order to catch or catch up with some idea, agenda or goal. In this short film the chase is about the pursuit of a very well-planned pick pocketing incident that happens in a busy railway station in India. What makes this interesting is that the person who leads this entire operation is a female. A cunning and shred thief in disguise of a sweet charming girl who fooled her victim easily with flirty looks and compassionate thankful hugs. On the other hand, this film also depicts the reality check of chasing someone and learn how to view people in the shades of gray. When we first start to like someone, it's a natural tendency to subconsciously overlook flaws. The sparks of attraction make us idealize and put people on a pedestal. This also makes a point that first impressions could be deceptive. Here the primary effect of beauty triggered one major practical error of the young man in the film. He almost got side blinded by the young woman's beauty and became careless about his belongings and by the time he realized that it was too late. The Chase depicts the fact that chasing a mirage of lust might not end up in the reality of love.
