The Crossing (1940)

The history of a border post in one of the remote areas of the Pamir mountains, cut off from nearby areas by an earthquake. Taking advantage of the the border guards' hopeless situation, a large gang of Basmachi attacks the handful of Red Army soldiers. An expeditionary force crossing the still considered impassable mountains comes to the aid of the frontier post. By the joint efforts of border guards and fighters of the expeditionary squad, the Basmachi gang are defeated.
