This 90-minute documentary, produced by Scotiabank (a major supporter of hockey at all levels), tells untold hockey stories from unexpected places in communities across Canada. The stories begin at 12:01am on a frozen lake outside Calgary, Alberta. And, as the day marches on towards 11:59pm, we experience all the ups and downs through the one-of-a-kind hockey characters we are introduced to: a former NHL player following in his father's footsteps as he coaches his son; a determined young boy who won't let his cystic fibrosis keep him off the ice; a Haitian Canadian who overcame the racism he faced growing up; a First Nations boy adjusting to being a role model in his community; an Olympian dreaming of a future where her daughter could play professional hockey; a man who created an LGBTQ hockey league after being shunned by his childhood friends; and many more. Through scenes of passion, determination, hard work, and adversity, this tapestry of moments shared by Canadians celebrates the lasting power of community hockey to inspire, teach, and unite people from all walks of life.
