Nuevo Rico (2021)

A brother and sister duo and struggling reggaeton artists living in a dystopian future Puerto Rico are chased into the rainforest by the authorities after being caught sabotaging a manufacturing plant. Deep within the forest, they come across a meeting of several local deities seeking a savior for the island. The siblings steal a parchment of energy and gain incredible fame and power, making them reggaeton superstars. Years later, now far away from Puerto Rico, the two find themselves head-butting over different ideas of what their next steps should be. What happens next will have lasting consequences not just for them both and Puerto Rico, but might also speak to a dark destiny.
