Cease (2020)

Best friends, Patti and Trish, spend their last night together before Patti moves away for college. Trish refuses to the face the reality of her friend moving away and acts out by committing to a stubborn silence on the matter. On their way to the beach, for their final hurrah over a few cans of beer, they run into Patti's brother and his friend Leo, they mention a house party. In a selfish attempt to make herself feel better, Trish persuades Patti to go to the party. She promises it will still be their night. As soon as they arrive they are separated. The absent minded Trish is sucked into the party and frustrated, Patti storms off. Trish soon escapes the party for a cigarette and she runs into Leo. They head to a shed at the bottom of the garden, for a joint, leaving Patti upset in the upstairs bathroom. Things soon get very out of hand between Trish and Leo. Patti barges into the shed in search of Trish. In a moment of fear there is bloodshed. They must run. On a journey to the beach, the traumatized Patti and Trish process what has happened. As the sun rises on the broken friends, Trish knows what she must do and their friendship is put to the ultimate test.
